This notification, G.S.R. 788(E), issued by the Ministry of AYUSH on October 28, 2021, and published in the Gazette of India on November 10, 2021, formally constitutes the Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) of the Pharmacopoeia Commission for Indian Medicine and Homoeopathy (PCIM&H), Ghaziabad. This action is taken under the powers conferred by Rule 163AA of the Drugs and Cosmetics Rules, 1945, and is in continuation of Gazette Notification CGDLE-23032021226036, Part II, Section 3, Subsection (i), dated March 23, 2021.
The SAB comprises both ex-officio and non-official members. The Chairman is Prof. M.C. Sharma, and the Director of PCIM&H serves as the Ex-officio Member Secretary. Other ex-officio members include the Advisor dealing with drugs at the Ministry of AYUSH, the Drugs Controller General of India, the Secretary cum Scientific Director of the Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission, and the Directors General of the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences, Siddha, Unani Medicine, and Homoeopathy. Additionally, the Central Government Analyst for Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani and Homoeopathy Drugs is an ex-officio member.
The non-official members include experts in Ayurveda (Prof. Dr. Asmita Wele), Siddha (Dr. T. Anandan), Unani (Prof. Dr. Mohammad Idris), Homoeopathy (Dr. Juhi Gupta), Pharmacognosy/Botany (Dr. Indira Balachandran), Chemistry (Dr. Subrata Dey), Phytochemistry (Dr. S. K. Srivastava), and Pharmacy (Dr. Muraldihar Ballal).
The tenure of the SAB is three years from the date of notification or until further orders, whichever is earlier. The notification is documented under F. No. Y-11015/1/2021-LP and was issued by Jt. Secy. Kavita Garg.

by Rule 163-AA(1) of Drugs and Cosmetics Rules, 1945, the Central Government, hereby constitutes
