New Delhi, the 19th January, 2022
S.O. 295(E).—The Government of India, in exercise of the powers conferred under sub-section (1) of
Section 4 of the Jute Packaging Materials (Compulsory Use in Packing Commodities) Act, 1987 (JPM Act, 1987) and
also under Rule 3(a) of the Rules issued vide No. G.S.R. (B) under the JPM Act, 1987 have decided to constitute the
Standing Advisory Committee (SAC) as per the following composition:—
(i) Secretary, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India Chairman
(ii) Secretary, Department of Food and Public Distribution, Government of - Member
India or his Representative not below the rank of Joint Secretary
(iii) Secretary, Department of Consumer Affairs, Government of India or his - Member
Representative not below the rank of Joint Secretary
(iv) Secretary, Department of Expenditure Government of India or his - Member
Representative not below the rank of Joint Secretary
(v) Secretary, Department of Chemicals and Petro-Chemicals, Government of - Member
India or his Representative not below the rank of Joint Secretary
(vi) Secretary, Department of Agriculture and Cooperation, Government of - Member
India or his Representative not below the rank of Joint Secretary
