NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 27th January, 2017.
S.O. 313(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (3) of article 77 of the Constitution, the President
hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Government of India (Allocation of Business) Rules, 1961,
namely:-
1. (1) These rules may be called the Government of India (Allocation of Business) Three Hundred and Thirty
First Amendment Rules, 2017.
(2) They shall come into force at once.
2. In the Government of India (Allocation of Business) Rules, 1961, in the SECOND SCHEDULE,-
(a) under the heading “MINISTRY OF SOCIAL JUSTICE AND EMPOWERMENT (SAMAJIK NYAYA AUR
ADHIKARITA MANTRALAYA)”, under the sub-heading “A. DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL JUSTICE AND
EMPOWERMENT (SAMAJIK NYAYA AUR ADHIKARITA VIBHAG)”, after entry 24, the following entry
shall be inserted, namely:-
“25. Monitoring of Scheduled Castes Sub-Plan, based on the framework and mechanism designed by
NITI Aayog.”;
(b) under the heading “MINISTRY OF TRIBAL AFFAIRS (JANJATIYA KARYA MANTRALAYA)”,
after entry 9, the following entry shall be inserted, namely:-
“10. Monitoring of Tribal Sub-Plan, based on the framework and mechanism designed by NITI
Aayog.”;
(c) under the heading “NITI AAYOG (NATIONAL INSTITUTION FOR TRANSFORMING INDIA)”, in
entry 1, under item (i), after sub-item m, the following sub-item shall be inserted, namely: -
“n. (A) To design a framework and mechanism for monitoring of the Scheduled Castes Sub-Plan
and Tribal Sub-Plan;
(B) To evaluate the Scheduled Castes Sub-Plan and Tribal Sub-Plan”.
