Government of lndia.
5. However, pointing out that the container manufacturing and associated safety
inspections/approvals are only evolving sectors in lndia and large number of
containers need to be manufactured and approved in lndia in a time-bound
manner, the Directorate has received request from organization such as
CONCOR to permit joint certification of containers by IRS along with any other
Recognized Organization authorised by the Govt. of lndia for an interim period
of 6 months.
6. ln partial modification to DGS Order 6 of 2013, the Directorate hereby permits
conduct of joint certification/inspection of Containers (only) as per CSC
Convention 1972 by IRS along with any other Recognized Organization (to be
decided by product owner or IRS) authorised by the Govt of lndia for an
interim period of 6-M to be extendable to 12-Months, subject to review of the
situation. Necessary procedural requirements including for sharing of fees,
shall be guided by mutual agreements / work arrangements between IRS and
the other Recognized Organization as the case may be.
7. This order shall come into operation with immediate effect.
