No: - ENGiEXAM-15(40)2016-COE Dated. 02.11.16 Corriqendum to this office NT/ENG Circular No. 02 of 2014 Based on the inputs received from various stakeholders (INSA, ICCSA & IRS) during the meeting held, on the subject, on 01.09.16, in this office, on the issuance of Certificates of Endorsement of Recognition to lndian nationals holding UK cocs for MEo class lV or second Mates, para d of the NT/ENG Circular 2 of 2014 dated 27.05.14, of this office is hereby amended to be read as follow:- .Since there is a reported surplus of MEO Class lV Engineers and Second Officers, such Certificates of Endorsement issued under the STCW Reg l/10 to MEo class lV holders and Second officers, from all countries is, henceforth, discontinued from the date of the issue of this circular' However, those candidates who have been already issued with Certificates of Endorsement (CoE) before 27.0s.14 shall be allowed to be employed on lndian flag vessels, subject to fulfillment of other applicable conditions, if any, and shall also be eligible for revalidation of coEs from time to time and till further orders; the latter also subject to fulfillment of applicable conditions, if any"' 2.
