Developed by the students of Nutan Maharashtra Institute of Engineering and Technology (NMIET), Talegaon, in collaboration with project leaders Dr. Vilas Deotare, Dr. Nitin Dhawas, Dr. Shekhar Rahane, Dr. Chandrakant Kokane, Prof. Pritam Ahire, and Dr. Saurabh Saoji. This Mental Distress Detection System is designed to provide timely and confidential mental health support to CRPF Jawans. The system employs a multi- modal AI framework integrating Natural Language Processing (NLP) for sentiment analysis and Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) for real-time facial emotion detection, with voice modulation analysis. The platform enables early identification of mental health risks and supports timely intervention to enhance personnel well- being and operational readiness. A First for Paramilitary Forces Project SATHI is recognized as likely the first AI-driven wellness tool to be implemented within a paramilitary force. Focused on proactive care, the project is entirely voluntary for personnel and has been developed at zero cost to the Force.
