Department of Atomic Energy DAE Gears Up for Special Campaign 6 with Focus on Cleanliness and Innovative Practices
Posted On: 17 SEP 2026 11:16AM by PIB Mumbai :Mumbai, 17 September, 2026 The Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) has continued the spirit of Special Campaign 5.0 through its efforts under the sequel to Special Campaign 4.0, which was initiated in December 2025. All Constituent Units, Public Sector Undertakings and Aided Institutions of the Department have been actively working towards the sequel to the Special Campaign.
During the sequel to Special Campaign 5.0, from December 2025 to July 2026, DAE conducted 92 cleanliness campaigns. A total of 82,901 files were reviewed, of which 82,002 files were weeded out. The Department also disposed of 1,226 Public Grievances and 159 Public Grievance Appeals during the period.
The campaign also resulted in the generation of revenue of more than Rs. 4 crore through the disposal of scrap. In addition, around 8,882 square feet of space was freed up through the campaign.
The Department of Atomic Energy is now gearing up for Special Campaign 6. All its Constituent Units, Public Sector Undertakings and Aided Institutions have been instructed to actively participate in the campaign, give wide publicity to its activities through social media and adopt innovative ideas and best practices.
As part of the preparatory phase of Special Campaign 6, from 15 September to 30 September 2026, the Department has instructed all concerned organisations to set clear targets for the campaign. These targets will be taken up and achieved during the implementation phase from 2 October to 31 October 2026.
The Department of Atomic Energy is committed to making Special Campaign 6 a successful initiative through active participation, focused action and adoption of innovative practices across all its organisations.
