Official Journal EN of the European Union L series 2024/2645 4.10.2024 DECISION (EU) 2024/2645 OF THE REPRESENTATIVES OF THE GOVERNMENTS OF THE MEMBER STATES of 2 October 2024 appointing a Judge to the Court of Justice THE REPRESENTATIVES OF THE GOVERNMENTS OF THE MEMBER STATES OF THE EUROPEAN UNION, Having regard to the Treaty on European Union, and in particular Article 19 thereof, Having regard to the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, and in particular Articles 253 and 255 thereof, Whereas: (1) The terms of office of 13 Judges and five Advocates-General of the Court of Justice are due to expire on 6 October 2024. (2) Appointments to those posts should therefore be made for the term of office starting on 7 October 2024 and expiring on 6 October 2030. (3) That being the case, it has been proposed that the term of office of Mr Andreas KUMIN as Judge of the Court of Justice be renewed. (4) The panel set up by Article 255 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union has given a favourable opinion on the suitability of the candidate to perform the duties of Judge of the Court of Justice, HAVE ADOPTED THIS DECISION: Article 1 Mr Andreas KUMIN is hereby appointed Judge to the Court of Justice for the period from 7 October 2024 to 6 October 2030.
