Posted On: 23 SEP 2026 5:59PM by PIB Delhi The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) has issued guidelines to implement the Special Campaign 6 from 2nd October to 31st October, 2026 in order to achieve the goal of institutionalizing Swachhata and minimizing pendency in Government Offices. The focus of the Special Campaign 6 will be saturation of Swachhata by improving overall cleanliness of Government Offices and enhancing experience of common public. The Special Campaign 6 will emphasize 'Effective Collection, segregation and disposal of e-waste.

Department of Fertilizers (DoF), its attached offices and fertilizer PSUs had observed Swachhata Pakhwada from 01.09.2026 to 15.09.2026. The Swachhata Pledge led by Secretary was undertaken in the DoF on 01.09.2025 in which officers/officials actively participated in the event. Further, Shramdaan activities were undertaken by the Officers/officials of DoF in the office premises at Shastri Bhawan on

10.09.2026 as part of the cleanness drive. A bilingual Essay writing competition on the themes of Swachhata and elimination of single use of plastic was also held on 14.09.2026.

Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) Campaign 2026 is currently being observed from 17.09.2026 to 02.10.2026 in the Department of Fertilizers, its attached offices, PSUs, Joint Ventures, Societies and fertilizer Companies in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation (DDWS), Ministry of Jal Shakti and Department of Urban Development, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs

(MoHUA). All fertilizer companies have been sensitized in this regard. A video conferencing (VC) meeting was also held on 22.09.2026 under the chairmanship of the Senior Economic Adviser, DoF, with fertilizer companies to review their preparedness for Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS)-2026. During the meeting, fertilizer companies were briefed on the campaign themes and designated activities, with a reiterated emphasis on key initiatives such as Kabaad Se Kala, Khel & Khel Bhawana, and Gyan Yatra.

Special Campaign 6 will be observed by the Department of Fertilizers, its attached offices and all fertilizer PSUs from 2nd October, 2026 to 31st October, 2026. All fertilizer PSUs, attached offices and Divisions under DoF have been sensitized to gear up for the Special Campaign 6 initiatives. Information regarding identification of campaign sites, details of e-waste etc under Special Campaign 6 are being compiled.

Besides, all efforts will be done by the Department of Fertilizers and its PSUs for making progress towards the review and weeding out of old files (both physical and e-files) as per the Record Retention Schedule, disposal of Public Grievances, References from VIPs/MPs, digitization of records, disposal of the e-waste, scrap material etc so that it can improve efficiency and space management.
