NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 28A of the Representation of the
People Act, 1951 (Central Act 43 of 1951), the Government of Karnataka hereby
designate the following categories of Police officers and Police personnel in all the wings
of the Police Department who are involved in any way in election related arrangements,
in view of Biennial Election to the Karnataka Legislative Assembly from 224
Constituencies for 224 seats as per the Schedule announced by the Election Commission
of India, New Delhi vide No. ECI/PN/24/2023, dated 29.03.2023, to perform duties in
connection with the conduct of elections, with immediate effect namely:-
1. Director General and Inspector General of Police
2. Director General of Police
3. Additional Director General of Police
4. Commissioner of Police / Additional Commissioner of Police
5. Inspector General of Police
6. Deputy Inspector General of Police
7. Joint / Deputy Commissioner of Police
8. Superintendent of Police
9. Additional Superintendent of Police
10.Assistant Commissioner of Police / Deputy Superintendent of Police
11.Inspector of Police
12.Sub-Inspector of Police
13.Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police
14.Head constable
15.Constable
