No. GG/112/2026/HD/MHK/e-file/8/2023/7973/C1:- In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Gujarat is hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Gujarat, Horizontal Reservation for Ex-Agniveers for the employment on uniformed posts of direct recruitment in subordinate service of the Police Department Rules, 2026, namely:-.

1. (1) These rules may be called the Gujarat, Horizontal Reservation for Ex-Agniveers for the employment on uniformed posts of direct recruitment in the subordinate service of the Police Department (Amendment) Rules, 2026.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

2. In the Gujarat, Horizontal Reservation for Ex-Agniveers for the employment on uniformed posts of direct recruitment in the subordinate services of the Police Department Rules, 2026, after rule 5, the following rule shall

be inserted namely:- “5A. Ex-Agniveers shall be exempted from Written Examination in the process of direct recruitment.”.
