The policy is an official notice issued in India by the Ministry of Defence and Department of Military Affairs. It outlines the authorization for Chief of the Army Staff to use powers under Rule 33 of the Territorial Army Rule 1948, allowing for the mobilization or deployment of specific units within the Territorial Army. The units are designated infantry battalions, totaling 14, which will be moved to various commands including Southern Command, Eastern Command, Western Command, Central Command, Northern Command, Southwestern Command, Andaman and Nicobar Command, and Army Training Command (ARTRAC).
