III (LA) dated the 21st February, 2020, the sanction of the President is hereby accorded for extension of the term of the Twenty-second Law Commission of India upto 31st August, 2024 consisting of the following, namely,- (i) a full-time Chairperson; (ii) four full-time Members (including Member-Secretary); (iii) Secretary, Department of Legal Affairs as ex officio Member; (iv) Secretary, Legislative Department as ex officio Member; and (v) not more than five part-time Members. 2. As regards the financial years 2023-24 and 2024-25, the expenditure will be met from the corresponding Budgetary Grants that may be voted by the Parliament for the respective years. 5.
