Overview Following heavy rainfall and a Red Alert in Dadra and Nagar Haveli, the Indian Army initiated flood relief operations to assist civil authorities. A Flood Relief Column from the School of Artillery, Devlali, under the Headquarters Uttar Maharashtra and Gujarat Sub Area, was deployed to priority sites in Silvassa on July 24, 2026.

• Incident Timeline: A distress call was received at 1300 hr on July 24, 2026, regarding approximately 100 residents stranded by rising water levels in Sanduri Village (Madhuban Dam Area).
• Evacuation Results: The Army successfully evacuated 23 civilians, including seven women and four small children.
• Shelter: Evacuees were relocated to a safe shelter in Khanvel.
• Medical and Ration Support: For residents remaining in the village, the Army distributed food and rations. Additionally, an on-site medical camp was established to treat illnesses and injuries.
• Casualties: No casualties have been reported.
