**Summary:**
The Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) does not directly support food processing projects under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. Instead, it implements the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada Yojana (PMKSY) and the Production Linked Incentive Scheme for Food Processing Industry (PLISFPI), both Central Sector Schemes that are demand-driven. The Ministry also implements the centrally sponsored PM Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) scheme, which provides financial, technical, and business support for upgrading/setting up micro food processing enterprises. Under PMFME, Tomato in Kolar and Chikkaballapura districts, and Mango in Dharwad and Haveri districts have been identified as One District One Product (ODOP) in Karnataka. The MoFPI has sanctioned 62 proposals with a total subsidy of Rs 3.19 crores in Kolar district of Karnataka under the PMFME scheme.
MoFPI does not establish food processing plants itself but offers financial assistance in the form of grants-in-aid to eligible entrepreneurs for establishing infrastructure, including processing facilities for mangoes and tomatoes, through its schemes. Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) does not support food processing projects in Public Private
Partnership (PPP) model. However, MoFPI is implementing two Central Sector Schemes namely Pradhan
