In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (22) of section 2 of the
Andhra Pradesh Municipalities Act, 1965 (Act. No. 6 of 1965) read with rule 3 of
the Andhra Pradesh Municipalities (Gradation of Municipalities and Nagar
Panchayats) Rules, 1995 issued in G.O.Ms.No.32, MA & UD Department,
date: 03-02-1995 read with G.O.Ms.No.25, MA&UD(J2) Department,
date.23.01.2001, the Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby declare and
upgrade the Jaggaiahpet Municipality from Grade-II Municipality to Special Grade
Municipality with immediate effect.
