PRESS RELEASE IFSCA, India and FSC, Taiwan Execute Cooperation Agreement on Fintech The International Financial Services Centres Authority(โIFSCAโ) and the Financial Supervisory Commission(โFSCโ), Taiwan executed a โCo-operation agreement on Fintechโ to formalize regulatory cooperation in fintech. The agreement was signed by Shri K Rajaraman, Chairperson, IFSCA and Dr. Yen-Liang Chen, Vice Chairperson of the FSC.
The MoU was virtually exchanged and operationalized on August 28, 2026, at the 19th India-Taiwan Economic Consultations (19th ITEC) held in Bengaluru.
The objective of the cooperation agreement is to establish a referral mechanism enabling the parties to refer innovator businesses seeking to operate in each other's markets.
Further, the agreement facilitates the sharing of information on innovation in financial services and products in the respective jurisdictions, including emerging market trends, new technologies and regulatory developments pertaining to financial innovation.
This Cooperation Agreement marks a further step forward from the earlier general MoU signed between IFSCA and FSC in December 2025, deepening the collaboration between the two authorities.
