Website: www.ifsca.gov.in PRESS RELEASE IFSCA Releases Q1 FY 2026-27 Bulletin The International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) has released its Quarterly Bulletin for Q1 FY 2026-27, covering developments in the International Financial Services Centre (IFSC) at GIFT City, Gujarat during April-June 2026. The Bulletin presents recent business trends across the IFSC ecosystem, together with policy updates, regulatory insights and detailed sector-wise statistics.
Key highlights of Q1 FY 2026-27 include: • Registrations and Authorisations: The number of registrations/ authorisations reached 1,336 as of June 30, 2026, including 76 in-principle/ provisional approvals, up from 1,213 at end-March 2026;
• Banking: The outstanding assets of IFSC Banking Units (IBUs) increased to $120.69 Bn as of end-June 2026 from $111 Bn as of end-March 2026. Trade finance transactions booked by IBUs amounted to $15.42 Bn during Q1 FY 2026-27;
• Capital Markets: A total of 6.93 Mn contracts, with a traded value of $317.01 Bn, were traded on IFSC stock exchanges during Q1 FY 2026-27. Debt listings during the quarter amounted to $2.20 Bn, including ESG-labelled debt listings of $500 Mn.
• Fund Management: A total of 235 Fund Management Entities (FMEs) managed 401 funds/ schemes as of end-June 2026. Cumulative commitments increased to $45.08 Bn from $39.09 Bn, while cumulative funds raised increased to $22.93 Bn from $19.51 Bn as of end-March 2026.
• Insurance: Premium written by the IFSC Insurance Offices (IIOs) more than doubled to $419.16 Mn during the quarter from $202.30 Mn in the previous quarter. Of this, gross reinsurance premium increased significantly to over $400 Mn from $186.93 Mn.
• Leasing: The aircraft leasing ecosystem expanded to 412 aviation assets as of end-June 2026, up from 373 in the previous quarter, while the number of ships leased increased to 42 from 37. • Payments and other financial services: The value of payment-account transactions rose to $110.99 Mn during the quarter, more than three times the $36.26 Mn recorded in the previous quarter. The value of ITFS transactions increased to $126.92 Mn as of end-June 2026 from $105.75 Mn as of end-March 2026, while the number of financial support service entities (including Global In-house Centres) with final authorisations reached 143.
