Governor of National Capital Territory of Delhi, hereby makes the following rules to further amend the Delhi Home Guards Rules, 1959, namely:- 1. Short title and commencement.- (1) These rules may be called the Delhi Home Guards (Amendments), Rules, 2017. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Delhi Gazette. 2. Amendment of rule 8. In the Delhi Home Guards Rules, 1959, in Rule 8, after the fifth proviso, the following proviso shall be inserted, namely:- “provided also that in addition to the extension of tenure for six years (2+1+1+2) after successful completion of three years, the tenure of Home Guards on roll as on 1st October, 2017 (and due for discharge between the period 1st October, 2017 to 31st March, 2019) may be extended up to 31st March, 2019 subject to satisfactory service records, general conduct as Home Guards during the tenure and also subject to physical fitness.” By Order and in the Name of Lt.
