NOTIFICATION
Delhi, the 27th March, 2020
No. F. 1/02/2019/HG/1413-1425.—In exercise of powers conferred by section 8 of the Bombay Home
Guards Act, 1947, as extended to National Capital Territory of Delhi, the Lt. Governor of National Capital
Territory of Delhi, hereby makes the following rules to further amend the Delhi Home Guards Rules, 1959,
namely:-
1. Short title and commencement.—(1) These rules may be called the Delhi Home Guards
(Amendment), Rules, 2020.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Delhi Gazette.
2. Amendment of rule 8.—In the Delhi Home Guards Rules, 1959, in Rule 8, after the eighth proviso,
the following proviso shall be inserted, namely:-
“Provided also that the tenure of existing Home Guard Volunteers who are on roll as on date may be
increased for another 01 year or till the time fresh enrolment takes place, whichever is earlier subject to
satisfactory service records, general conduct as Home Guards during the tenure and also subject to
physical fitness”.
