NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 18th October, 2018
No.F.6(79)/SB/DTTE/2015/RR/2203.—In exercise of powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the
Constitution of India read with Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs notification No. G.S.R.840 dated 13th July
1959, the Lt. Governor of National Capital Territory of Delhi is pleased to frame the following Recruitment Rules,
regarding the method of recruitment to the post of “Workshop Instructor” in Degree Level Colleges under the
Department of Training and Technical Education, Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi, namely:
1. Short title and commencement:- (1) These rules may be called the “Workshop Instructor” in Degree Level
Colleges under Department of Training and Technical Education, Government of National Capital Territory of
Delhi (Recruitment and Promotion) Rules, 2018.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. Number of posts, classification and Level in the Pay Matrix: - The number of posts, their classification and
Level in the Pay Matrix attached thereto shall be specified in Column (2) to (4) of the Schedule attached thereto.
3. Method of Recruitment, Age limit and other qualification:- The method of recruitment to the said post, age
limit, qualifications and other matters connected therewith shall be as specified in Column No. (5) to (13) of the
said Schedule.
4. Disqualifications: No person
(a) Who has entered or contracted marriage with the person having a spouse living or
(b) Who having a spouse living, has entered into or contracted marriage with any person;
shall be eligible for appointment to any of the said post.
Provided that Department of Training and Technical Education may, if satisfied that such a marriage is
permissible under the personal law applicable to such person and the other party to the marriage and there are
other grounds for doing, exempt any person from the operation of these rules.
5. Power to relax:- Whether the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi is of the opinion that it is
necessary or expedient to do so, it may, by order and for reason to be recorded in writing relax any of the
provisions of these rules with respect to any class or category of person.
6. Saving: - Nothing in these regulations shall affect reservations and other concessions required to be provided for
the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes and other specified category of persons in accordance with orders
issued by the Central Government from time to time in this regard.
