S.O. 4239(E).—In exercise of the power conferred by Sub-Section (1) of Section 17 of the Sick Textiles
Undertakings (Nationalization) Act, 1974 (57 of 1974), Sub-Section (1) of Section 6 of the British India Corporation
Ltd (Acquisition of Shares) Act, 1981 ( 29 of 1981), Sub-Section (1) of Section 15 of the Swadesh Cotton Mills
Company Limited (Acquisition and Transfer of Undertakings) Act, 1986 (30 of 1986) and Sub-Section (1) of Section
17 of Textiles Undertakings (Nationalization) Act, 1995 (39 of 1995), the Central Government appoint Shri Vijoy
Kumar Singh, Additional Secretary as Commissioner of Payments w.e.f. 06.11.2020 and defines the local limits
within which the said Commissioner of Payments shall exercise the powers conferred and perform the duties imposed
on him, as the whole of India.
