NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 19th September, 2016
S.O. 3109(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (3) of article 77 of the Constitution, the President
hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Government of India (Allocation of Business) Rules, 1961,
namely:—
1. (1) These rules may be called the Government of India (Allocation of Business) Three Hundred and
Twenty Ninth Amendment Rules, 2016.
(2) They shall come into force at once.
2. In the Government of India (Allocation of Business) Rules, 1961, in the SECOND SCHEDULE,-
(a) under the heading “MINISTRY OF EXTERNAL AFFAIRS (VIDESH MANTRALAYA)”, in entry
24, for item (a), the following item shall be substituted, namely:-
“(a) Pilgrimages to places outside India and the Indian Pilgrim Ships Rules, 1933, and pilgrim parties
from India to shrines in Pakistan and (cid:118)(cid:99)(cid:105)(cid:101)(cid:32)(cid:97)(cid:118)(cid:115)(cid:101)(cid:114) excluding administration of the Haj Committee Act,
1959 (51 of 1959) and the rules made thereunder.”;
(b) under the heading “MINISTRY OF MINORITY AFFAIRS (ALPASANKHAYAK KARYA
MANTRALAYA)”, after entry 20, the following entry shall be inserted, namely:—
“21. Management of Haj Pilgrimage, including administration of the Haj Committee Act, 1959
(51 of 1959) and the rules made thereunder.”.
