In exercise of the powers conferred by clause 3 of article 77 of the Constitution, the President hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Government of India

New Delhi, the 17th October, 2018
S.O. 5343(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (3) of article 77 of the Constitution, the
President hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Government of India (Allocation of
Business) Rules, 1961, namely:—
1. (1) These rules may be called the Government of India (Allocation of Business) Three Hundred and
Forty Fifth Amendment Rules, 2018.
(2) They shall come into force at once.
2. In the Government of India (Allocation of Business) Rules, 1961, in THE SECOND SCHEDULE,—
(i) under the heading “MINISTRY OF ELECTRONICS AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
(ELECTRONIKI AUR SOOCHANA PRAUDYOGIKI MANTRALAYA)”, for entry 8, the
following entry shall be substituted, namely:—
“8. Initiative on bridging the Digital Divide: Matters relating to Digital India Corporation.”;
(ii) under the heading “MINISTRY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (VIGYAN AUR
PRAUDYOGIKI MANTRALAYA)”, under the sub-heading “A. DEPARTMENT OF SCIENCE
AND TECHNOLOGY (VIGYAN AUR PRAUDYOGIKI VIBHAG)”, entry 2 shall be omitted.
