को लागू करते समय पासपोर्ट जनयम, 1980 के जनयम 8 के साथ पठित ओमान म ें यात्रा दस्ट् तािेि न रखन े िाले भारतीयों
को जनम्न जलजखत के अ् यधीन ूूर् दने ा िनजहत म ेंआिश् यक रर सुजिधािनक ह ै:
(i) आपातकालीन प्रमाणपत्र िुल्क स े केिल ददनांक 15.11.2020 स े 31.12.2020 तक अथाटत ओमान सरकार द्वारा
घोजित ठरयायत अिजध के दौरान दकए गए आपातकालीन प्रमाणपत्र आिेदनों को ही ूूर् दी िाएगी;
(ii) इस आपातकालीन प्रमाणपत्र िल्ु क स े ूूर् का लाभ उिान े िाले सभी इच्ूुक आिेदकों को एक अजतठरि आिेदन प्रस्ट्तुत
करना होगा, जिसम ें यह सुजिधा लेन े की इच्ूा पठरलजित होती हो;
(iii) उपयुटि जनर्ददष्ट सुजिधा प्रदान करन े के दौरान आपातकालीन प्रमाण पत्र िारी करत े समय, इस अजधसूचना म ें अन्य
दकसी प्रािधान के होते हुए, पासपोर्ट अजधजनयम, पासपोर्ट जनयम रर पासपोर्ट जनयमािली के सभी प्रासंजगक प्रािधान

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 11th December, 2020
G.S.R. 756(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of section 22 of the Passports
Act, 1967 (15 of 1967), the Central Government, being of the opinion that it is necessary and expedient in
the public interest, so to do, exempt Indians living in Oman having no travel document, from the operation
of the provisions of section 5 of the said Act, read with rule 8 of the Passport Rules, 1980, in so far as such
provisions relate to the payment of fees for issue of Emergency Certificate for one time travel to India
subject to the following:
(i) the waiver of Emergency Certificate fees shall be applicable only for those Emergency Certificate
applications made during the period 15.11.2020 to 31.12.2020 i.e. the grace period announced by the
Government of Oman;
(ii) all applicants desirous to avail this waiver of Emergency Certificate fee shall have to submit an
additional application indicating their wish to avail the facility;
(iii) save as otherwise provided in this notification, while issuing emergency certificate during the
operation of the above said facility, all the relevant provisions of the Passports Act, Passport Rules and
Passport Manual shall apply.
