This notification, G.S.R. 838(E), issued by the Ministry of Shipping, Ports Wing, on August 30, 2016, announces the appointment of three trustees to the Board of Trustees of the Kandla Port Trust. The appointments are made by the Central Government, exercising powers conferred by clause (c) of sub-section (1) read with sub-section (6) of Section 3 of the Major Port Trusts Act, 1963.
The appointed trustees, representing "Other Interests" as per Section 3(1)(vii) of the MPT Act, 1963, are:

2. Shri Mavjibhai Bhikhabhai Sorathia, VIJAY Plot No. 84, Sector No. 2, Opp. Gujarat Vidhyalaya, Gandhidham-Kachchh, Gujarat 370201.
3. Shri Rajgor Bharatbhai Devjibhai, Behind Vrundavan Market, Highway Road, Santalpur Distt. Patan, Gujarat 385350.
These appointments are effective immediately and are valid until March 31, 2018.
