NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 22nd December, 2020
G.S.R. 787(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (la) of sub-section (2) of section 27
of the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987 (39 of 1987), the Central Government in consultation with the
Chief Justice of India, hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Permanent Lok Adalat (Other
Terms and Conditions of Appointment of Chairman and Other Persons) Rules, 2003, namely:
1. Short title and commencement.—(1) These rules may be called the Permanent Lok Adalat (Other
Terms and Conditions of Appointment of Chairman and Other Persons) Amendment Rules, 2020.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Permanent Lok Adalat (Other Terms and Conditions of Appointment of Chairman and Other
Persons) Rules, 2003, in sub-rule (3) of rule 3, for the words “one thousand and five hundred rupees”, the
words “two thousand rupees” shall be substituted;
