NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 4th September, 2017
S.O. 2919(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by clauses (b) and (c) of sub-section (3)
of section 5 of the Seamen’s Provident Fund Act, 1966 (4 of 1966) read with sub-paragraph (2) of
paragraph 3 of the Seamen’s Provident Fund Scheme, 1966, the Central Government hereby makes
the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India, in the Ministry of
Shipping number vide S.O. 876(E) dated the 21st March, 2014 published in the Gazette of India,
Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), namely:—
2. In the said notification, in the opening paragraph, for the words “in supersession of the earlier
notifications”, the words, letters and figures “in supersession of notification number S.O. 694 dated
the 6th March, 2007” shall be substituted.
3. In the said notification, for serial numbers 4 and 6 and entries relating thereto, the following
serial numbers and entries shall in particular be substituted, namely:—.
“4. Additional Central Provident Fund Commissioner (Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh), Employees’
Provident Funds Organisation: Member (Government Nominee)
6. Shri. N.R.Saraiya, Indian National Ship Owners’ Association: Employers’ Representatives”.
4. In the said Notification, the footnote at the end of notification shall be omitted.
