का.आ. 1402(अ).—केंद्रीय सरकार की भारतीय मानक ब्यूरो अजधजनयम, 2016 (2016 का 11), (जिसे इसमें इसके पश्चात
उक् त अजधजनयम काा गया ा)ै की धारा 16 और धारा 17 द्वारा प्रदत िजियों का प्रयोग करते हुए भारतीय मानक ब्यूरो के साथ
परामिव करने के पश्चात या राय ाै दक लोकजात में ऐसा करना आर्श्यक या समीचीन ाै, जनम्नजलजखत आदिे करती ाै, अथावत:्—
1. सजंिप्त नाम, प्रारंभ और लाग ूाोना- (1) इस आदिे का संजिप्त नाम फ्थेजलक एनााइड्राइड (क्वाजलटी जनयंत्रण) आदिे , 2020 ा।ै
(2) या आदिे रािपत्र में इसके प्रकािन की तारीख से एक सौ अस्ट्सी ददन पश्चात प्रर्ृत्त ाोगा।
(3) या जनम्नजलजखत सारणी के स्ट्तभं (1) में जर्जनर्ददष्ट मालों या र्स्ट्तओंु पर लागू ाोगा, ककतु जनयावत के जलए मालों या र्स्ट्तुओं पर लागू
नाीं ाोगा।
2. मानक के साथ अनरूु प्त ा और मानक जचन न का अजनर्ाय व उपयोग- उि सारणी के स्ट्तंभ (1) में जर्जनर्ददष्ट माल या र्स्ट् तुएं सारणी के
स्ट्तंभ (2) में जर्जनर्ददष्ट भारतीय मानक के अनुरूप ाोंगे और भारतीय मानक ब्यूरो (अनुरूपता जनधावरण) जर्जनयम, 2018 की
अनुसूची-II की स्ट्क ीम-I के अनुसार ब्यूरो से एक अनुज्ञजप्त के अधीन मानक जचन न धारण करेंगे।
3. प्रमाणन और प्रर्तनव प्राजधकरण- उि सारणी के स्ट्तंभ (1) में जर्जनर्ददष्ट मालों या र्स्ट्तुओं के संबंध में, ब्यूरो प्रमाणन और प्रर्तनव
प्राजधकारी ाोगा।
4. उल्लघं न के जलए िाजस्ट्त- कोई व्यजि िो इस आदिे के उपबंधों का उल्लंघन करता ाै, उक् त अजधजनयम के उपबंधों के अधीन दडं नीय
ाोगा।

ORDER
New Delhi, the 23rd April, 2020
S.O. 1402(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 16 and section 17 of the Bureau of Indian
Standards Act, 2016 (11 of 2016) , (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government after consulting
the Bureau of Indian Standards, is of the opinion that it is necessary or expedient so to do in the public interest, hereby
makes the following order, namely:—
1. Short title, commencement and application. – (1) This order may be called the Phthalic Anhydride (Quality
Control) Order, 2020.
(2) This order shall come into force on the expiry of one hundred and eighty days from the date of its publication
in the Official Gazette.
(3) It shall apply to goods or articles specified in column (1) of the Table below, but shall not apply to such goods
or articles meant for export.
2. Conformity to standards and compulsory use of Standard Mark.- Goods or articles specified in column (1)
of the Table shall conform to the corresponding Indian Standard given in column (2) of the Table and shall bear
the Standard Mark under a licence from the Bureau as per Scheme-I of Schedule-II of the BIS (Conformity
Assessment) Regulations, 2018.
3. Certification and enforcement authority.-In respect of the goods or articles specified in column (1) of the
Table, the Bureau shall be the certifying and enforcing authority.
4. Penalty for contravention. -Any person who contravenes the provisions of this order shall be punishable under
the provisions of the said Act.

Note : For the purpose of the Table, the latest version of the Indian Standards including the amendments issued
