S.O. 5496(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 16 of the Bureau of Indian
Standards Act, 2016 (11 of 2016), the Central Government, after consulting the Bureau of Indian
Standards is of the opinion that it is necessary or expedient so to do in the public interest, hereby
makes the following order to further amend the Vinyl Acetate Monomer (Quality Control) Order,
2021, namely:—
1. Short title and commencement. – (1) This order may be called the Vinyl Acetate Monomer
(Quality Control) Second Amendment Order, 2022.
(2) It shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Vinyl Acetate Monomer (Quality Control) Order, 2021 (hereinafter referred to as the said
Order), in paragraph 1, for sub-paragraph (2), the following sub-paragraph shall be substituted,
namely:—
―(2) It shall come into force on the 31st day of May, 2023‖.
3. In the said Order, after the TABLE, the following Note shall be inserted, namely:—
―Note: For the purposes of the TABLE, the latest version of the Indian Standards including the
amendments issued thereof and notified by the Bureau of Indian Standards from time to time, shall
apply from the date of such notification.‖
