NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 6th April, 2018
G.S.R. 339(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by section 24 of the Passports Act, 1967 (15 of 1967), the
Central Government, hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Passports Rules, 1980, namely:-
1. Short title and commencement.-
(i) These rules may be called the Passports (IInd Amendment) Rules,
2018.
(ii) They shall come in to force on the date of their publication in the
Official Gazette.
2. In the Passports Rules, 1980, in rule 12, in sub-rule (4), for the words “three months”, the words “six
months” shall be substituted.
