NOTIFICATION
Delhi, the 11th May, 2015
No. F. R. 1465/TO(S)/TC.Felling/14-15/885-93.—Whereas the Government of National Capital Territory of
Delhi considers it necessary to do so in the public interest.
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 29 of the Delhi Preservation of Trees Act, 1994
(Delhi Act, 11 of 1994), the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi hereby exempts an area of total 4.26 ha.
(approx.) as detailed below for construction of elevated stabling line for Kalindi Kunj Depot at Jasola Vihar of Phase-III
of MRTS. New Delhi by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), from the provision of Sub-section (3) of Section 9 of
the said Act.

The exemption is Subject of fulfillment of the following conditions :
a) The applicant shall make an advance deposit of an amount of Rs. 48,30,000/- (Rupees Fourty Eight Lakh Thirty
Thousand Only) towards security for creation and maintenance of compensatory plantation for a period of 5

b) The compensatory plantation will be raised and maintained for 5 (five) years i.e. 1500 no. of trees compensatory
plantation will be done by the Forest Department at the land given by DMRC near Shastri Park Under DCF (N)
and monitor it till its successful establishment.
c) The firewood (if any) obtained on removal of firewood species of trees shall be handed over by the DMRC to the
officials concerned of MCD for its use on public crematoria in Delhi in consolation with the territorial DU', if
applicable.
d) Before shifting of wood if any, from site of removal of trees, transportation permission for transportation of the
said wood shall be obtained from Tree Officer (South).
