Delhi, the 16th August, 2017
No. F. 103/COT /WFD /16-17/3539-48.—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 29 of the Delhi Preservation
of Trees Act, 1994 (Delhi Act 11 of 1994), the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, hereby, in public
interest exempts an area of total 89.72 ha.(approx) as detailed below for construction/development of International
Exhibition cum Convention Centre at Dwarka, Sector-25, New Delhi from the provision of sub-section (3) of section 9
of the said Act.

The said exemption is subject to fulfilment of the following conditions:—
(a) The applicant shall make an advance deposit of an amount of Rs. 11,17,77,000/- (Rupees Eleven Crore
Seventeen Lakhs Seventy Seven Thousand Only) towards security deposit for creation and maintenance of
compensatory plantation for a period of Seven years as follows:

(b) The compensatory plantation will be raised and maintained for Seven years and monitored till its successful
establishment by following manners:—
(i) 19610 saplings of indigenous species will be done by Department of Forests and Wildlife, Govt. of NCT
of Delhi at Yamuna Bank Flood Plains between ITO Barrage and Yamuna Bank Metro Station.
(c) The timber obtained from felling of 1961 trees shall be auctioned by the user agency and deposit the proceeds
as revenue to the government.
(d) The firewood, if any, obtained on removal of firewood species of trees shall be handed over by the Delhi
Mumbai Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (DMICDC) to the officials concerned of MCD for its
use on public crematoria in Delhi free of cost.
(e) Before shifting of wood if any, from site of removal of trees, transportation permission for transportation of the
said wood shall be obtained from Tree Officer (West).
