Delhi, the 1st September, 2017
No. R. 113/TO(S)/TC-Felling/2017-18/3975-83.—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 29 of
the Delhi Preservation of Trees Act, 1994 (Delhi Act 11 of 1994), the Government of the National Capital
Territory of Delhi, hereby, in public interest exempts an area of total 2.175 ha. (approx) as detailed below for
redevelopment of MP flats by construction of 36 Duplex MPs House in North Avenue (Phase-I) in existing 1 to 64
Nos flat, New Delhi from the provision of sub-section (3) of section 9 of the said Act.

The said exemption is subject to fulfillment of the following conditions:-
(a) The applicant shall make an advance deposit of an amount of Rs. 52,44,000 /- (Rupees Fifty Two Lakhs
Forty Four Thousand Only) towards security deposit for creation and maintenance of compensatory

(i) 920 saplings of indigenous species will be done by User Agency i.e CPWD at Rajghat, A-1, New Delhi
with geo-coordinates 28’38’58” N, 77’14’57” E.
b) The timber obtained from felling/transplanting of 92 trees shall be auctioned by the user agency and deposit
the proceeds as revenue to the government.
c) The lops and tops obtained on removal of firewood species of trees shall be handed over by the Central
Public Works Department (CPWD) to the officials concerned of MCD for use in public crematoria of Delhi
as firewood, free of cost.
d) Before shifting of wood if any, from site of removal of trees, transportation permission for transportation of
the said wood shall be obtained from Tree Officer (South)
e) The other 86 trees in the area will not be harmed in any manner.
