No. SEBI/LAD-NRO/GN/2025/263.—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 30 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India Act, 1992 (15 of 1992), the Board hereby makes the following regulations to further amend the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Employees' Service) Regulations, 2001, namely: - 1. These regulations may be called the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Employees' Service) (Amendment) Regulations, 2025. 2. They shall be deemed to have come into force from June 18, 2025. 3. In the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Employees' Service) Regulations, 2001— I. In the Schedule, in the Table, i. in row 2, in column 1, after the words and symbols “post of Executive Director (Law”, the words and symbols “/Litigation) and Executive Director (Information technology” shall be inserted. ii. in row 2, in column 2, after the words and symbols “(a) promotion”, the words and symbols “from relevant streams” shall be inserted. iii. in row 2, in column 2, the words and symbols “2/3rd of the total posts from internal candidates and 1/3rd posts, not more than 3, to be filled up by deputation/ contract” shall be substituted with “Not more than 3 posts to be filled up by deputation/contract and remaining posts from internal candidates through promotion”. iv. in row 3, in column 1, after the words and symbols “Executive Director (Law”, the words and symbols “/Litigation” shall be inserted. v. in row 3, in column 3, before the words “LLB from a recognized university”, the words “Not less than 40 years and not more than 55 years” shall be inserted. vi. in column 1, after row 3 and before row 4, a new row shall be inserted with the words and symbols “Executive Director (Information Technology)”. vii. in column 3, after row 3 and before row 4, a new row shall be inserted with the following words and symbols, namely, - “Not less than 40 years and not more than 55 years.
