Delhi, the 31st May, 2017
No. F. DE. 23 (66)/RTE/2017/1336-1350.—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 38 of the Right of
Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009 (35 of 2009), the Lieutenant Governor, National Capital Territory
of Delhi, hereby makes the following amendments in the Delhi Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education
Rules, 2011, namely:—
1. Short title and commencement.—(1) These rules may be called The Delhi Right of Children to Free and
Compulsory Education (Amendment) Rules, 2017.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Delhi Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Rules, 2011 in Part VII under the heading of
Curriculum and Completion of Elementary Education, for clause (c), in sub-rule 2 of rule 21, the following
clauses shall be substituted, namely:—
“(c) prepare class-wise, subject-wise learning outcomes for all elementary classes; and
(d) prepare guidelines for putting into practice continuous and comprehensive evaluation to achieve the defined
learning outcomes.”
