This document is a corrigendum to the Indian Medicine Central Council Election Rules, 1975, published by the Ministry of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy (AYUSH). The corrigendum, numbered G.S.R. 1020(E) and dated October 9, 2018, addresses an error in the Ministry's earlier notification G.S.R. 714(E) dated July 27, 2018. Specifically, it clarifies that in sub-rule 2 of rule 14, the phrase "Council of Homoeopathy" should be corrected to read "Council of Indian System of Medicine."
The authority for this amendment is derived from Section 4 and Section 35 of the Indian Medicine Central Council Act, 1970 (48 of 1970). The original rules were published under G.S.R 2350, dated August 14, 1975, and have been subsequently amended by notifications S.O. 532 E (September 15, 1979), S.O. 495 E (July 4, 1980), G.S.R. 151E (March 15, 2012), G.S.R. 372E (May 18, 2012), and G.S.R. 714E (July 27, 2018).
The corrigendum is issued under F. No. A.11019/70/2017-ECCCIM/CCH Elections and is signed by P. N. Ranjit Kumar, Joint Secretary.

CORRIGENDUM
New Delhi, the 9th October, 2018
G.S.R.1020(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 4 and section 35 of the Indian Medicine
Central Council Act, 1970 (48 of 1970), Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to
amend the Indian Medicine Central Council (Election) Rules, 1975, namely :-
In the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy,
Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy (Ayush), G.S.R. 714(E) dated the 27th July, 2018, published in the Gazette
of India, Extraordinary Part II, Section 3, Sub-Section (i), the words mentioned in sub-rule (2) of rule 14 shall
be read as, “Council of Indian System of Medicine”, instead of “Council of Homoeopathy”.
