NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 27th April, 2016

No.EP-1(1)/2015.—In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 45 of Food Corporations Act, 1964 (37
of 1964) and with the previous sanction of the Central Government, the Food Corporation of India hereby makes the
following Regulations to amend the Food Corporation of India (Staff) Regulations, 1971 namely:—
1. Short Title and Commencement:
(i) These Regulations shall be called the Food Corporation of India (Staff) (First Amendment) Regulations,
2016.
(ii) These shall come into force from the date of Notification in the Official Gazette.4 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART III —SEC. 4]
2. Definitions: The definitions and meaning of the words and designation of posts in this Regulation shall have
the same meaning as contained in the Food Corporations Act, 1964 and the Food Corporation of India (Staff)
Regulations, 1971.
3. The following amendments are made in PART-IX-ENGINEERING CADRE of the Food Corporation
of India (Staff) Regulations, 1971 (Appendix-I):
(i) The recruitment rules appearing at ‘Sl. No.1(A) - Deputy Genl. Manager (Mech./Elect. Engineering)’ of PART-
IX-ENGINEERING CADRE in Appendix-I of the Food Corporation of India (Staff) Regulations, 1971 is deleted.
(ii) The recruitment rules appearing at Sl. No. 3, 5 and 6 under ‘Electrical Wing’ of PART-IX-ENGINEERING
CADRE in Appendix-I of the Food Corporation of India (Staff) Regulations, 1971 is deleted.
(iii) The recruitment rules appearing at Sl. No. 3, 5 and 6 under ‘Mechanical Wing’ of PART-IX-ENGINEERING
CADRE in Appendix-I of the Food Corporation of India (Staff) Regulations, 1971 is deleted.
(iv) A new ‘Electrical Mechanical Wing’ as given in detail in the enclosed Annexure-I is inserted below ‘Civil Wing’
of PART-IX-ENGINEERING CADRE of Appendix-I of the Food Corporation of India (Staff) Regulations, 1971.
