No. EP-1(3)/2016.—In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 45 of Food Corporations Act, 1964 (37 of
1964) and with the previous sanction of the Central Government, the Food Corporation of India hereby makes the
following Regulations further to amend the Food Corporation of India (Staff) Regulations, 1971 namely:-
1. Short Title and Commencement:
i) These Regulations shall be called the Food Corporation of India (Staff) (Third Amendment) Regulations,
2019.
ii) These shall come into effect from the date of issue of the notification.
2. Definitions: The definition and meaning of the words and designation of posts in these Regulations shall
have the same meaning as contained in the Food Corporations Act, 1964 and the Food Corporation of India (Staff)
Regulations, 1971.
3. The following amendments are made to the Food Corporation of India (Staff) Regulations, 1971:-
3.1 In the proviso to Regulation 5(v) of Food Corporation of India (Staff) Regulations, 1971, the word
“Managing Director” is replaced by ‘Government of India’.
3.2 In the Appendix-I, Part-II General Administration cadre at Sl. No. 15, Column 7, the qualifications and
experience as required for the post of ‘Steno Grade-II’ is amended as follows:-
“Graduate degree with speed of 40 w.p.m & 80 w.p.m in English typing & shorthand respectively.”
3.3 In the Appendix-I, Part-IX Engineering cadre at Sl. No. 6 Column 7, the qualifications and experience as
required for the post ‘Junior Engineer’ is amended as follows:-
“Degree in Civil Engineering or Diploma in Civil Engineering with one year experience in case of diploma
holders only.”
