NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 12th March, 2020
S.O. 1044(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-clause (v) of clause (e) of section 3 of the
Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013
(30 of 2013), the Central Government hereby notifies that the Ministry of Home Affairs shall, subject to the
control of the President and until further orders, exercise the powers and discharge the functions of the
“appropriate Government” under the said Act and the rules made thereunder, for acquisition of land for the
critical border projects for Border Fence, Border Out Posts, Border Roads and Integrated Check Posts.
