The said Regulations shall come into force on the date of publication of this Notification in the Official Gazette. SCHEDULE Cochin Port Trust Cochin Port Trust Employees (Recruitment, Seniority and Promotion) Amendment Regulations, 2017 In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 28 of the Major Port Trusts Act, 1963 (38 of 1963), the Board of Trustees of Port of Cochin hereby makes the following Regulations further to amend the Cochin Port Trust Employees (Recruitment, Seniority and Promotion) Regulations, 2010 namely:- 1. Short title and commencement.- (i) These Regulations may be called the Cochin Port Trust Employees (Recruitment, Seniority and Promotion) Amendment Regulations, 2017. (ii) They shall come into force on the date of publication of the approval of the Central Government as required under Sections 124 and 132 of the Major Port Trusts Act, 1963 in the Official Gazette. 2. In the Cochin Port Trust Employees (Recruitment, Seniority and Promotion) Regulations, 2010, in the Schedule, under the Marine Department.- (1) for the post of Dredging Master (Mobile Dredger) at Serial Number 12:- (i) The entries under Column No. 5 shall be substituted as under:- “Rs. 20600-46500 (Pre-revised Rs.9100-250-15100)” (ii) The entries under Column No. 8 shall be substituted as under:- “Master (NCV) Certificate issued under the Merchant Shipping Act, 1958 or Ist class Inland Masters Certificate issued under Harbour Craft Rules, 1947 or Inland Vessel Act, 1917 (a) with S.S.L.C (b) three years experience in Dredgers/Tugs.
