The said Amendment Regulations shall come into force on the date of publication of this Notification in the official Gazette. SCHEDULE Kolkata Port Trust Kolkata Port Trust Employees’ (Recruitment, Seniority and Promotion) Amendment Regulations, 2017. In exercise of the power conferred by Section 28 of the Major Port Trusts Act, 1963 (38 of 1963) the Board of Trustees for the Port of Kolkata hereby makes the following Regulations further to amend the Kolkata Port Trust Employees’ (Recruitment, Seniority and Promotion) Amendment Regulations, 2013:- 1. Short title and commencement: i) These Regulations may be called the Kolkata Port Trust Employees’ (Recruitment, Seniority and Promotion) Amendment Regulations, 2017. ii) They shall come into force on the date of publication of the approval of the Central Government as required under the provisions of Sections 124 and 132 of the Major Port Trusts Act, 1963 in the Official Gazette.4 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART II—SEC. 3(i)] 2. In the Kolkata Port Trust Employees’ (Recruitment, Seniority and Promotion) Regulations, 2013.- (a) in Regulations 3, the entries under sub – regulation (d) (ii) shall be substituted as under :- “Head of Division” means the Officer-in-Charge of the respective division at Kolkata Dock System or Haldia Dock Complex.” (b) in Regulation 12, the heading “For HODs” of clause (a) (i) of Sub-regulation (2) shall be substituted by the heading “For HODs including GMs of HDC”. (c) in Regulation 12, clause (a)(ii) of sub-regulation (2) shall be deleted. (d) in Regulation 12, in sub-regulation (2), the composition of Service Selection Committee under clause (c)(i) shall be substituted as under:- “i) Deputy Chairman - Chairman ii) General Manager (M&S) - Member iii) General Manager In-Charge of the Department in which the - Member vacancy occurs iv) Representative of SC, ST and OBC nominated by the Chairman/ Dy. Chairman, if applicable. - Member [Any other General Manager to be nominated by Chairman / Dy. Chairman in case vacancy occurs in the Department headed by General Manager (M&S)] ” (e) in regulation 12, in sub-regulation (2), the composition of Service Selection Committee under clause (c)(ii) shall be substituted as under:- “i) General Manager (M&S) - Chairman ii) General Manager In-Charge of the Department in which the vacancy - Member occurs iii) General Manager (Finance) - Member iv) Representative of SC, ST and OBC nominated by the Chairman/ Dy. Chairman, if applicable. - Member [Any other General Manager to be nominated by Chairman/Dy.
