The said regulations as approved shall come into force on the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette. SCHEDULE In exercise of the powers conferred by section 28 of the Major Port Trusts Act, 1963 (38 of 1963), the Board of Trustees of Cochin Port Trust hereby makes the following regulations further to amend the Cochin Port Trust Employees (Recruitment, Seniority and Promotion) Regulations, 2010, namely:- 1. (1) These regulations may be called the Cochin Port Trust Employees (Recruitment, Seniority and Promotion) Amendment Regulations, 2019. (2) They shall come into force on the date of publication of the approval thereto by the Central Government in the Official Gazette. 2. In the Cochin Port Trust Employees (Recruitment, Seniority and Promotion) Regulations, 2010, in the schedule,- (i) under the heading “MARINE DEPT”,- (a). against serial number 4, relating to the post of Marine Engineer, in column 8, for item (i), the following item shall be substituted, namely:- “(i) MOT I Class Motor Certificate or Marine Engineer Officer Class I Certificate issued under Merchant Shipping Act, 1958 (44 of 1958)”; (b). against serial number 5, relating to the post of Dy. Marine Engineer, in column 8, for item (i), the following item shall be substituted, namely:- “(i) MOT II Class Motor Certificate or Marine Engineer Officer Class II Certificate issued under Merchant Shipping Act, 1958 (44 of 1958)”; (c). against serial number 6, relating to the post of Sr. Deputy Marine Engineer, in column 8, for item (i), the following item shall be substituted, namely:- “(i) MOT II Class Motor Certificate or Marine Engineer Officer Class II Certificate issued under Merchant Shipping Act, 1958 (44 of 1958)”; (d). against serial number 7, relating to the post of Sr. Marine Engineer/Chief Engineer Marine Vessel, in column 8, for item (i), the following item shall be substituted, namely:- “(i) MOT I Class Motor Certificate or Marine Engineer Officer Class I Certificate issued under Merchant Shipping Act, 1958 (44 of 1958)”; (e). against serial number 8, relating to the post of Marine Engineering Superintendent, in column 8, for item (i), the following item shall be substituted, namely:-¹Hkkx IIµ[k.M 3(i)º Hkkjr dk jkti=k % vlk/kj.k 5 “(i) MOT I Class Motor Certificate or Marine Engineer Officer Class I Certificate issued under Merchant Shipping Act, 1958 (44 of 1958)”; (f) against serial number 16, relating to the post of Chief Engineer, in column 8, for the entries, the following entries shall be substituted, namely:- “ MOT I Class Motor Certificate or Marine Engineer Officer Class I Certificate issued under Merchant Shipping Act, 1958 (44 of 1958).” (ii) under the heading “MECHANICAL ENGG DEPT”, against serial number 3, relating to the post of Superintending Engineer (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics & Communication);- (a) in column 12, for the entries, the following entries shall be substituted namely:- “Promotion from Executive Engineer in the respective discipline in the Mechanical Engineering Department in the scale of pay of Rs. 10750-16750 with four years regular service in the grade, failing which Executive Engineer in the respective discipline in the Mechanical Engineering Department in the scale of pay of Rs.10750-16750 with two years regular service in the grade and a combined regular service of nine years in the scale of pay of Rs.10750-16750 and 9100-15100. Absorption/deputation: Officers holding analogous post in the respective discipline or feeder post with four years regular service in the grade in a Major Port Trust.”; (b) in column 13, for the entries, the following entries shall be substituted namely:- i) Mechanical – Four posts ii) Electrical/Electronics & Communication – one post [F.
