S.O. 4598(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 29 of the
Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act, 2005 (42 of 2005), the Central Government
being satisfied that it is necessary and expedient to do so, hereby makes the following further amendments
to Schedule I of the said Act, namely:-
2. In the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act, 2005, in SCHEDULE I, in
paragraph 4, in sub-paragraph (1), in item (IV), in sub-item (ii), for the words “unconnected villages” the
words “unconnected villages and border areas” shall be substituted.
