The primary function of the NAC is to advise the Central Government on the effective implementation of the RTE Act provisions. The tenure for the nominated members is two years from the date of this notification. The Department of School Education and Literacy will serve as the Secretariat for the National Advisory Council. S.O. 2977(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 33 of the Right of Children to
Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009 (RTE Act), read with Rule 29 of the Right of Children to Free and
Compulsory Education Rules, 2010, the Central Government hereby re-constitutes the National Advisory Council as per

Council.
