NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 30th May,2018
S.O. 2197(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 7 of the Coal
Bearing Areas (Acquisition and Development) Act, 1957 ( 20 of 1957), the Central Government hereby
makes the following amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Coal,
number S.O. 356(E), dated the 22nd January, 2018 and published in the Gazette of India , Extraordinary, Part
II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), dated the 24th January, 2018, namely:-
2. In the Schedule to the said notification –
(a) in the table relating to “(A) Revenue Land”,-
(i) against serial number 1 to 6, under the heading “Area in hectares”, for the figures and word
“82.656”, “95.150”, “5.591”, “34.879”, “8.470” and “70.984”, the figures and word “82.608”,
“95.139”, “5.591”, “34.86”, “8.458” and “70.95” shall respectively be substituted;
(ii) against the heading “Total”, for the figures, words and brackets “297.730 hectares (approximately)
or 735.39 acres(approximately)”, the figures, words and brackets “297.606 hectares(approximately) or
735.38 acres (approximately)” shall respectively be substituted.
(b) in the table relating to “(B) Notified Forest and Gair Mazrua Jungle Jhari Land”,-
(i) against serial number 1 to 6 under the heading “Area in hectares”, for the figures and word
“30.874”, ”31.287”, ”45.753”, ”0.000”, ”23.765” and “30.781”, the figures and word “30.86”,
“31.274”, “45.738”, “0.000”, “23.752” and “30.77” shall respectively be substituted;
(ii) against the heading “Total”, for the figures, words and brackets “162.460 hectares(approximately)
or 401.27 acres(approximately)”, the figures, words and brackets “162.394 hectares(approximately) or
401.28 acres (approximately)” shall respectively be substituted.
(c) under the heading “Grand Total (A+B)”, for the figures, words and brackets “297.730 + 162.460=
460.19 hectares(approximately)” or “735.39 + 401.27= 1136.66 acres (approximately)”, the figures, words
and brackets “297.606 + 162.394 = 460.000 hectares(approximately)” or “735.38 +401.28 = 1136.66
acres(approximately)” shall respectively be substituted.
(d) under the heading “Plot numbers (R.S.) to be acquired:”, in serial number 5, relating to “Newari
village”, plot number “1043(P)” shall be omitted.
