NOTIFICATION
Delhi, the 2nd August, 2018
F.No. IIITD/New Statutes/56/2011/1679-—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of
section 23 of section 18 read with 23 read with 22 of the IIIT (Indraprastha Institute of Information
Technology)-Delhi Act, 2007 (Delhi Act 5 of 2008), the Board of Governors of the IIIT Delhi, with the prior
approval of the chancellor, hereby, makes the following Statutesto make amendment in the IIIT (Indraprastha
Institute of Information Technology) Delhi Statutes, 2008 namely :-
1. Short title and Commencement- (1) These Statutes may be called the IIIT (Indraprashta Institute of
Information and Technology)-Delhi Statute (Amendment), 2008.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. Amendment of Statute 6- In the IIIT (Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology) Delhi
Statutes, 2008, in Statute 6, in clause (2), for the proviso, the following proviso, shall be substituted, namely:-
“provided the person appointed as Director shall, on completion of seventy years of age during his term of
office, cease to hold office.”
