Short title and commencement.- (1) of Service of Municipal Officers) Regulations, 2016. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. Definitions.- (1) In these regulations, unless the context otherwise requires.- (a) "Act" means the New Delhi Municipal Council Act, 1994 (44 of 1994); "Category-A", "Category-B", "Category-C" and "Category-D" posts means the post as specified in sub- (b) section (4) of section 34 of the Act; (c) "municipal officer" includes a municipal officer or other municipal employee appointed to the New Delhi Municipal Council under Chapter VI of the Act; (d) 'section' means a section of the Act; (e) 'service rule" means the rules referred to in regulation 4. and expressions used in the Act and also in these regulations shall, unless the context otherwise requires, (2) Words have the meanings assigned to-them in the Act. No. 4 of 1998) approved vide Competent Authority orders dated 30.01.2015 and concurred by the Union Public Service Commission vide letter F.
