NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 27th February, 2020
F. No. 4-11/2017 CU-II––In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (2) and (3) of
Section 29 of the Delhi University Act, 1922 (VIII of 1922), the Executive Council, with the approval of
the Visitor, hereby makes the following amendment further to amend the Statutes of the University of
Delhi, 1922, namely:––
1. (i) These Statutes may be called as the University of Delhi (Amendment) Statutes, 2019
(ii) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Statutes of the University of Delhi, 1922, in Statute 9-B
(a) Serial number (43) and entries relating thereto shall be omitted;
(b) Serial number (74) and entries relating thereto shall be omitted;
(c) After serial number (82) and the entries relating thereto the following serial number and the
entries shall be inserted, namely;-
“(83) Department of Finance and Business Economics.”

(3) “The Department of Business Economics” and “Department of Financial Studies” are
merged into a single Department named as “Department of Finance and Business
Economics” under the Faculty of Applied Social Sciences and Humanities.

Act, 1922 as a Schedule annexed to that Act and were last amended vide F. No. 4-93/2014–
Desk (U) dated 5th August, 2015.
