New Delhi, the 18th March, 2016
G.S.R. 321(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by Sub-section (1) of Section 124, read with
Sub-section (1) of Section 132 of the Major Port Trusts Act, 1963 (38 of 1963), the Central Government
hereby approves the Visakhapatnam Port Trust Employees (Recruitment, Seniority and Promotion)
Amendment Regulations, 2016 made by the Board of Trustees for the Port of Visakhapatnam and are set out
in the Schedule annexed to this Notification.
2. The said Amendment Regulations shall come into force on the date of publication of this notification
in the Official Gazette.
SCHEDULE
VISAKHAPATNAM PORT TRUST
Visakhapatnam Port Trust Employees (Recruitment, Seniority and Promotion) Amendment
Regulations, 2016
In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 28 of the Major Port Trusts Act, 1963 (38 of 1963), the
Board of Trustees of the Visakhapatnam Port Trust hereby makes the following Regulations further to amend
the Visakhapatnam Port Employees (Recruitment, Seniority and Promotion) Regulations, 2009, namely:-
1. Short Title and commencement
(i) These Regulations may be called as “the Visakhapatnam Port Trust Employees
(Recruitment, Seniority and Promotion) Amendment Regulations, 2016”.
(ii) They shall come into force on the date of publication of the approval of the Central
Government as required under the provisions of Section 124 and 132 of the Major
Port Trusts Act, 1963 in the Gazette of India.
2. In the Visakhapatnam Port Trust Employees (Recruitment, Seniority and Promotion) Regulations,
2009, in the schedule containing Recruitment Rules for Class-I posts in Medical Department, for
the post of Chief Medical Officer at Sl. No.1, the provisions under Col. No. 9 shall be substituted
as under:-
“i) MBBS degree from a recognized University.
ii) A Post Graduate (PG) Medical Degree or PG Medical Diploma in the specified

iii) Post qualification experience of 16 years in case of PG Degree holders and 18 years
